OUR MISSION CREED
God has made us his people through our Baptism into Christ. Living together in trust and hope, we declare our mission as a congregation:
We are Ascension Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, with cherished roots as a mission church in this community.
We believe it is our mission to lead people to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and to help them live the Christian life.
We pledge to build a growing ministry which responds to the needs of people today and helps us to care for one another.
We covenant together to prepare ourselves for this ministry through faithful worship, study, and prayer.
We commit ourselves to faithful stewardship of our time, talent, and resources to support our ministry together.
We do these things out of gratitude to God and in celebration of his blessing. Amen. |
